A 30-year-old girl suffered serious burn injuries in Vishkarmapuri here last night. She suffered 90 per cent burn injuries and was struggling for life at DMC Hospital.
The victim’s parents alleged that two youths barged into their house around 2.30 am today and set her ablaze. However, the police probe so far has found that she set herself ablaze.
According to information, the girl’s marriage was scheduled to be held on January 17. Unfortunately, she met the tragedy last night.
The victim’s family told the police that she was sleeping on the ground floor of the house. She went to the bathroom around 2.30 am. While she was returning to her room, two youths, who had entered the house, set her ablaze and fled from the spot. When the victim raised the alarm, her parents woke up and took her to a hospital.
