The Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy, Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana, in collaboration with the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists & Leprologists (IADVL) successfully organised a workshop-cum-CME on dermatopathology themed “patterns in everyday practice”.
The CME witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 delegates from various institutions. The programme aimed to enhance pattern recognition skills and strengthen clinicopathological correlation in everyday dermatopathology practice.
Dr GS Wander, Principal, DMCH, in his message, highlighted the role of academic excellence and hands-on learning in shaping competent clinicians. He lauded the efforts of the organising team and expressed pride in DMCH for hosting renowned faculty.
The scientific programme was highlighted by enriching lectures from eminent speakers including Dr M Ramam, Professor, AIIMS, New Delhi; Dr Dipankar De, PGIMER, Chandigarh, and Dr Geeti Khullar, Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi. Other dignitaries present included Dr Sanjeev Handa, Professor & Head, Department of Dermatology, PGIMER, Chandigarh; Dr GP Thami, Director Principal & Head of Department, GMCH-32, Chandigarh, and heads of dermatology from medical institutes across the state.
The CME featured sessions by eminent pathologists and Dr Nita Khurana, Director, Department of Pathology, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi; Dr Uma Handa, Head, Department of Pathology, GMCH-32, Chandigarh; and Dr Uma Nahar, Professor, Department of Histopathology, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
