Ludhiana, October 15

Global Handwashing Day was observed in at DMCH on Thursday by the Department of Microbiology in association with Hospital Infection Control Team.

Principal Sandeep Puri expressed happiness in the active role of Department of Microbiology in spreading awareness about proper hand washing techniques.

Dr Deepinder Chinna, Head, Department of Microbiology, said routine sessions are regularly held in OPD blocks and different areas of the hospital, to sensitise people about benefits of proper hand washing which includes seven basic steps introduced by World Health Organization (WHO). — TNS
