Members of the All India Kisan Federation and Marxist Communist Party of India (United) held at meeting at KK Kaushal Memorial Bhawan in Doraha.
Members observed that Marxism had relevance in the present scenario. The members termed the Union Budget as anti-people, anti- worker, anti-farmer and pro-corporate.
They opposed increase in petrol and diesel price and slammed the Central Government for minimal increase in the MSP of paddy. The members also took on the Government of India for its proposal to privatise the Indian Railways.
They expressed concern over increasing drug menace in Punjab and blamed the previous SAD-BJP government and the Congress.
Prem Singh Bhangu, Pawan Kumar Kaushal, Sukhdev Singh, Hardev Singh Kheri, Gurdip Singh Sarala, Balkrishan and Gurpreet Singh, participated in the meeting.
