Though over two months are left for organising the event, dairy farmers from South India and other states have already expressed keen interest in participating in this mega event.

The reason: farmers get hands-on training, the best knowledge on achieving high yield, proper medication for animals, and more.

Besides, there will be over 500 exhibitors from across the country, showcasing a wide variety of farm machinery and produce.

Rajpal Singh, a leading dairy farmer associated with GADVASU for several years, said that up to 3 lakh visitors are expected to take part in this mega fair.

There would be 9,000 dealers and 3,000 products and services available. “Farmers from other states of India —including South, West — and even from abroad, come to be a part of this fair which provides an opportunity to meet and engage with progressive farmers, renowned breeders and dairy cooperatives. The fair serves as a platform for farmers to learn about advanced dairy equipment and technologies, innovative agri-solutions, high-performance genetics and breeding sessions, demonstrations, etc,” Singh said.

He added that dairy farming in Punjab was remonwed as among the best in the country. Cows in other states provide 1,500-2,000 litres of milk per month per cow, while Punjab farmers get four to five times more — up to 10,000 litres per cow each month.

“This fair provides an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge on enhancing yield sustainably,” he added. Various competitions are also slated to take place at the fair.
