ICAR organises agri start-up conclave

LUDHIANA: To mark World Food Day, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) organised Agri Startup and Entrepreneurship Conclave in New Delhi.

To mark World Food Day, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) organised Agri Startup and Entrepreneurship Conclave in New Delhi. The event was inaugurated by Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh in the presence of Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Farmers’ Welfare and Panchayati Raj.

More than one hundred agriculture-based start-ups participated in the conclave and showcased their products and machineries, which they have developed and conceptualised with the help of scientists from various ICAR institutes.

The union minister appreciated the products and machinery developed by Zoot India Company, Gurdaspur and Blacknut Agri Food Machinery, Ambala. These entrepreneurs were facilitated by the scientists of ICAR-CIPHET (Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology) under various training programmes.
