Inauguration of literacy programme

Ludhiana: Darshan Academy organised evening literacy classes for underprivileged children of Classes I-V. The programme was inaugurated with lamp-lighting and cake cutting ceremony by chief guest.



Ludhiana: Darshan  Academy organised evening literacy classes for underprivileged  children of Classes I-V. The programme was inaugurated with lamp-lighting and cake cutting ceremony by chief guest. Children were delighted as they participated in  coloring activity, sport activity and storytelling. It was treat to witness happiness on the faces of these children. Some of them expressed their desire to be prominent part of the society.  Children were awarded for various activities.  The school principal  Rajdeep kaur Aulakh appreciated the efforts of the faculty of her college. In the end, she expressed great pleasure that the long pending desire to help  underprivileged was finally materialised. Adding more to it, she said that  every child is important as they are future of nation. The programme  ended with refreshment and vote of thank by Ms. Jagjit kaur (pre-primary  coordinator). It was a great achievement and inspiration for the  others.

‘Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign’

 As  a part of the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign 2019’ launched by the Prime  Minister, a rally was taken out by the students of USPC Jain Public  School, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana to sensitize people about “Plastic  Waste Management”. The students carried placards and posters displaying  messages to limit the use of Single Use Plastic such as plastic bags,  plastic cutlery etc. During the drive, students collected plastic waste  to generate mass awareness on plastic waste, its subsequent collection  and recycling. The school has come up with a unique idea of converting  old plastic waste into recyclable planter vases and become the first  school of the region to have developed a vertical garden. 

Health session for students

DCM  Presidency School Elementary Campus organised a health session for the  students of Nursery to Prep II. Through the session, the students were educated about the benefits of taking healthy meals. They were sensitised to a healthy way of life. Besides this, they  were guided about the role of milk,juices along with balanced diet.The  students enjoyed the session as the educatory talk was clubbed up with  an animated video based on healthy food vs.junk food.
