Innova taken away at gunpoint

LUDHIANA: Carjackers took away an Innova car from 55-year-old Roshan Lal, a resident of Karimpur Chahwala, SBS Nagar, near Bhora Sahib Gurdwara, after threatening him with a gun.

Carjackers took away an Innova car from 55-year-old Roshan Lal, a resident of Karimpur Chahwala, SBS Nagar, near Bhora Sahib Gurdwara, after threatening him with a gun. A case under Section 392, IPC, was registered at the Jagraon police station yesterday.

According to Roshan Lal, he was going to his home via Moga in his Innova car. When he stopped to answer nature’s call around 7 pm on GT Road at Jagraon, a Swift Dzire car stopped near him. Of five youths travelling in the car, three approached Roshan when he was about to get in the car. They threatened him with a gun and took away his Innova. They also took away his iPhone and a briefcase containing important documents which were lying in his car.

The police said there was no headway in the case so far as the incident happened only last evening. He said: “We don’t know whether they were drug addicts or gangsters but investigation is on. We will get their sketches made for identification.”
