A mega traffic block to carry out work for electronic interlocking at Amritsar Yard from July 19 to August 1 would once again paralyse the rail traffic in the region. Two pairs of intercity trains, 12459/60 New Delhi-Amritsar-New Delhi and 14681/82 New Delhi-Jalandhar-New Delhi, which had resumed operation only on Monday after a gap of more than six months, would again go off the tracks till July 31. Besides, more than 30 long-route trains would remain cancelled and almost an equal number would be short-terminated, short-originated, diverted or regulated during the period of block.

Regulated train
15707 Katihar-Amritsar Amrapali Express will be regulated at Delhi Jn, Ambala Cantt and Ferozepur for 70 minutes each (July 17 to 29).
