Ludhiana, February 21

Panic gripped the Bhadaur House area after Income Tax sleuths raided three shops, including two shops in the AC market. The raid was conducted under the supervision of Additional Director of Income Tax (Investigations) Ritesh Parmar.

The raiding team asked the employees to get out of the shops and locked the main entrance of the market so that nobody can interfere in the raid proceedings. Huge police force was deployed outside the market. Only the owners were allowed to be in the shops.

Seeing the police and the IT team in the area, a few cloth merchants (located outside the AC market) closed their shops out of fear.

The raiding team found incriminating documents. The sleuths took in their possession sale-purchase receipts and other financial documents. The department was tight-lipped about the findings of the raid.

The AC market houses 300 shops, mostly dealing in cloth.
