KHANNA: Tarun Sharma, a student of the AS College was honoured for winning two gold medals in the Second International Ukraine Karate Cup, organised by World Karate Federation at Leviv, Ukraine.

Tarun Sharma, a student of the AS College was honoured for winning two gold medals in the Second International Ukraine Karate Cup, organised by World Karate Federation at Leviv, Ukraine.

Dr RS Gurna, Dean of Sports, said Tarun won two gold medals in Kata and Kumite events, respectively in 80+ weight categories (para athlete).

The championship was held from December 1 to 3.

Principal Dr RS Jhanji congratulated Tarun. The college committee and staff felicitated the winner for his remarkable achievement.

Members of the college management committee, including Sushil Kumar Sharma (vice-president), and college staff members Dr KK Sharma, Prof Balwinder Kumar, Dr Charan Kumar, Prof Dinesh Kumar, Dr Parminder Singh (HoD, Physical Education) and Dr Gurvir Singh were also present on the occasion.
