Ludhiana: Shamrock Christian Sr. Sec. School celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas in the memory of brave soldiers who sacrificed their life for their country. The middle section of the school celebrated the day with a beautiful song on behalf of the Kargil Soldiers during the assembly. The students enacted a wonderful play marking their respect towards the soldiers. Students came up with wonderful speeches and dance performances. A number of patriotic song were beautifully sung. The teachers told the students about why Kargil vijay diwas is celebrated. Principal P. Singh told the students to always be ready to serve our country.

Drishti Dr RC Jain Innovative School

The 23rd anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas was observed by students of Drishti Dr R C Jain Innovative Public School. Students of Class VIII remembered India’s victory against Pakistan by highlighting the achievements of brave soldiers. They expressed their gratitude in the form of class presentation. Dr Manisha Gangwar, Principal, said the celebration of Vijay Diwas fills the children with pride, honour and inspiration. It goes a long way in instilling patriotism in young minds. She even motivated students to work selflessly like the soldiers who are protecting the country so that we may live peacefully. The assembly ended with the students speaking the slogan “Jai Hind” fervently.

Spring Dale Public School

Spring Dale Public School paid homage to the Kargil martyrs as they celebrated ‘Vijay Diwas’. The campus echoed with slogans like ‘Barat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Matram’. To mark this occasion students made colourful cards for the soldiers and their valor. The Chairperson of the school Avinash Kaur Walia highlighted the importance of the day. She motivated all the students to tread on the path of patriotism. Directors Mandeep Walia and Kamal Preet Kaur along with Principal Anil Kumar Sharma applauded the work of the students and motivated them to keep this lamp of patriotism alive.

Investiture ceremony organised

The Lakewood School organised an investiture ceremony for conferring titles to its students. With titles like head boy, head girl, sports captain, cultural captain, and prefects, the students will now be wielding leadership in different cores. The academic year 2022-23 calls out the new brigade of highlanders to step to the fore as the new student council. Building capable leaders of the future, badges were conferred upon the student council.

Lecture on Sri Lanka crisis

Sant Ishar Singh Ji Memorial Public School Karamsar Rara Sahib organised guest lecture on the topic “ Sri Lanka’s Economic Crisis- 2022” for Commerce Students. Harmesh Lal, Principal, Govt College, Karamsar Rara Sahib and Rupinder Kaur, Head, Commerce Department, Govt College, Karamsar Rara Sahib were the resource persons of the day. Dr. Dhiraj Kumar Thapliyal gave a floral welcome to the resource persons. The lecturers discussed about the various causes of the economic crisis of Sri Lanka and suggested various measures to be adopted by Sri Lanka to cope up with that crisis. Dr Dhiraj Kumar Thapliyal, Principal, proposed the vote of thanks.

Investiture ceremony held

Spring Dale Public School organised investiture ceremony marking the mantle of leadership of its students. Students with excellent academic and co-curricular record were sworn in as Head Boy, Head Girl along with captains and vice-captains of the four houses of the school — Rose, Lotus, Lily and Jasmine. The students vowed to take up their responsibilities with dedication. Chairperson Avinash Kaur Walia congratulated the students.

Guest lecture on Mechatronics

The Department of Science held a guest lecture on Mechatronics and Big Bang to Cosmos today at Sant Ishar Singh Memorial School, Rara Sahib. The guest lecture gathered eminent speakers including Dr Pulkit Jain and Dr Kanwaljeet Singh from Chandigarh University. The talk began with an introduction to Mechatronics, its significance in designing and developing interdisciplinary in nature as well as consequent applications in the field of robotics. Dr Kanwaljeet Singh in his lecture on Big Bang to Cosmos informed the students about how the universe was created & how did it come to be the seemingly infinite place we know of today.
