KVM celebrates Founder’s Day

Ludhiana: Kundan Vidya Mandir (KVM) held a two-day event to celebrate Founder’s Day. PS Puniha, Director General of Investigation (Income Tax), Chandigarh, and Major General IP Singh, Director Armed Forces Preperatory Institutes, Mohali, were the chief guest.

Ludhiana: Kundan Vidya Mandir (KVM) held a two-day event to celebrate Founder’s Day. PS Puniha, Director General of Investigation (Income Tax), Chandigarh, and Major General IP Singh, Director Armed Forces Preperatory Institutes, Mohali, were the chief guest. VK Goyal, chairman, School Managing Committee, and  Ashwani Kumar, manager, School Managing Committee, along with other dignitaries graced the occasion. After plantating saplings the chief guests received the guard of honour by Iron Eagel Cadets. The function began with lighting of the ceremonial lamp and with blessings of the Almighty. A thought provoking and theme-based programme was put up by students to create awareness regarding saving indispensable treasures, including water, trees and relationships. A series of scintillating performances were staged by students. The act “I am enough” sent a message that every individual’s effort counts to bring the desired change in the society. Principal Navita Puri presented the annual report and shared achievements of students and staff. Puniha urged students to become the agents of change and Major General Singh encouraged students to serve the nation.

Student excels in sports meet 

Jashandeep Singh, a student of Orient School has been selected for the state-level athletic event after he ranked second in shotput. The selection was made at the Guru Nanak Dev Stadium, Ludhiana, during the on going zonal athletic events.

Quiz organised for tiny tots

BCM Kindergarten, Chandigarh Road, organised a quiz contest for tiny tots to foster a healthy competition among them. The four teams titled Mind Bogglers, Master Minds, Bright Sparks, Quiz Magicians with three students each competed. The quiz was divided into seven rounds i.e. general awareness, who’s who, rapid fire round, recognising shapes etc. Parents were elated to see their kid’s perform in quiz contest.

Students enjoy leisure trip

Tiny tots of Delhi Public World School visited Hardy’s World. Kids took swings, rides, and enjoyed food with their counterparts. Senior students visited Maple Adventure Camp, Virasat-e-Khalsa and gurdwara at Anandpur Sahib. Students participated in all daring activities with full zeal and enthusiasm at the adventure camp. At the Virasat-e-Khalsa, students connected with their cultural heritage. In the end, students went to gurdwara at Anandpur Sahib. — TNS
