Ludhiana, September 14

The District Bar Association (DBA), in association with the judiciary, embarked on a plantation drive today.

Sessions Judge Munish Singal, alongwith Additional Sessions Judge Raj Kumar Garg, CJM Sumit Makkar, Additional CJM Harsimranjit Singh, DBA president Gurkirpal Singh Gill and secretary Gagandeep Saini initiated the drive by planting 200 saplings on the courts complex.

Singal said clean and pollution-free environment was a must to ensure good health of the citizens. In today’s scenario, when the forest cover was rapidly depleting, the need of the hour was to ensure maximum plantation, he added.
