Sant Ishar Singh Ji Memorial Public School, Karamsar, Rara Sahib, on Wednesday organised a special guest lecture on 'How to best utilise kitchen waste' in tribute to the Guru Har Rai Ji, known for his profound love and commitment to environmental preservation. The session was led by eminent environmentalist Rajinder Singh Kalra, an active member of the Green Thumb Organization, who shared his expertise on sustainable waste management and ecological conservation.

Addressing the audience, Kalra emphasised the concept of zero kitchen waste and encouraged practices such as terrace gardening, composting, and the use of bio-enzymes to reduce household waste. He highlighted the role of trees in mitigating climate change and stressed the responsible use of natural resources, particularly water. The event was attended by the school’s management, including Maninderjit Singh Benipal, Captain Ranjit Singh, and Principal Dr Dhiraj Kumar Thapliyal.
