- Legal cell of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) has termed the farm Bills as anti-farmer and called upon the Panchayats of Punjab to pass resolutions against the “draconian laws”. District chairman Dharmjit Singh Khera said these “draconian laws” would render the Punjab farmers beggars.
- Meanwhile, the SAD legal wing staged a dharna led by state president Parupkar Singh Ghumman on Ferozepur Road. Ghumman said the Bills were nothing less than a step to make farmers slaves. These would help capitalistic forces in ruining the farmers. MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali and other Akali leaders also spoke on this occasion.
