The incident, which occurred amidst a morning downpour, also reportedly affected the residents of a neighbouring house. Sharma’s wife, who was on the roof during the rain, suffered a shock during the strike and her shoulder turned black. The intensity of the lightning also caused a crack in an iron pillar on the house’s lintel.
