Ludhiana, November 18

After a woman levelled rape allegations against Lok Insaaf Party (LIP) chief MLA Simarjeet Singh Bains, members of the women wing of the party have come in support of their leader.

Shashi Malhotra, president, women’s wing, LIP, and senior leader Harpreet Kaur said these allegations are politically motivated. They alleged that a woman supported by some politicians have levelled false allegations against Simarjeet Singh Bains.

“We are associated with the party for a longtime. Bains brothers talk to all women with respect and treat them as their sisters,” they said.

“When Bains brothers are carrying out Punjab Adhikar Yatra to secure the river waters of Punjab, the Opposition parties are trying to derail the campaign by levelling such false allegations,” they added.
