Ludhiana, August 5

The Municipal Corporation (MC) has issued a public notice regarding licensed, authorised colonies and schemes with area details, khasra numbers and approved layout plan where no objection certificates (NOCs) are not required for registration of sale deed or transfer of rights.

A list of such colonies and schemes has also been uploaded on the e-naksha portal of the department. No NOC is required for the registration of sale deeds for these areas.

Also, the MC has identified zones falling in core areas/‘Lal lakir’ and uploaded information regarding the same on the enaksha portal. According to the MC, no NOC is required for the registration of sale deeds for these areas.

Besides, NOC is not required for registration of sale deeds in case the land is divided or proposed to be divided for agriculture. Such an area should not be less than 500 square meters.

Also, no NOC is required in cases where registration is required due to family partition, inheritance, succession or partition of joint holdings not with the motive of earning profit. If the first sale deed of property or plot is prior to August 9, 1995, then no NOC is required for subsequent sale deeds of plot, provided the property has not been subdivided further.

The MC Commissioner said, “The Department of Local Government has developed an online approval system in e-naksha portal (enaksha.lgpunjab.gov.in) for all cases in which prior NOC is required for the registration of sale deed. An application can be submitted by citizen as well as professional/architect empanelled by the department on the portal.”

“Proper checklist is available on the portal and system generated certificate/NOC is issued. The MC will receive and process applications regarding issuing of NOCs only through the online portal,” he said.
