Spring Dale Senior Secondary School hosted LSSC Fine Arts Drawing Competition. There were two categories: Category-A was for Classes VI to VII with B being for Class VIII. As many as 18 teams showed their creativity in the competition on the Themes “India through My Eyes” and “Paint for the Planet”. The host school participated in the competition but did not compete for the prizes. The winners were embellished with Trophies and Certificates. In Category A, Saumya Jain of BCM School Shastri Nagar, Khushi of Vardhman International School and Yashaswani of BCM School, 32 Sector won the top three respective prizes and Pushkar Jain of Tagore Public School, Agar Nagar won the consolation prize. In Category B, Lagan Trighatia of BVM School, Kitchlu Nagar, Gurleen Kaur of BCM School, 32 Sectorand Krish Dhiman of HVM Convent School won the top three respective prizes and Aashita of Vardhman International School won the consolation prize. Seminar organised

World AIDS Day was observed at Green Land Sr Secondary Public School, Jalandhar bypass on the theme ‘Know Your Status” to raise awareness among the students to the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection. A seminar was organised for the students of class XII where Dr. Anit Kaur, HOD of Biology Department of the school, emphasized on HIV transmission, staging, stigma, prevention, treatment & role of youth in overcoming stigma and discrimination. A video based on the theme was also shown. The Students of class XI made posters highlighting this issue. Baldeep Pandher, Principal while addressing the audience said that it is an opportunity for every community to unite in fight against HIV. TNS

Annual Sports Day 

Annual Sports Day of USPC Jain Group of Schools was celebrated amidst great mirth, verve and camaraderie. General secretary of the school declared the meet open, marking the commencement of the ceremony, followed by the lighting of the flame and flying of the balloons by the Sports Department, along with the management members to mark the expression of joy and rejoice. Annual function organised

An annual day function was organised at Atam Devi Niketan on Friday. Cultural programme based on the theme 'Legacy of Ideologies' was organsied on the occasion. Some of the items included Kash - Tribute to Kerala, Nature's Treadmill, skit Legacy of Ideologies, Walk in Nagure, Can I, etc. Prior to that principal of the school Mridhu Ablash gave a speech and annual report of the school was read. Prize distribution ceremony was also organised. TNS
