Ludhiana wing players, stamping their superiority, emerged the winners in the boys’ U-19 category in the basketball competition at the 69th Punjab State Inter-District School Games, organised by the Punjab Education Department at Guru Nanak Stadium, here on Wednesday. Teams from 23 districts are vying for the top honours in this competition.

Ludhiana wing secured 72 points to top the table. Coming second, Patiala wing boys garnered 66 points and Ludhiana district players got 38 points to finish third.

Teja Singh Dhaliwal, general secretary, Punjab Basketball Association, gave away the prizes. Dimple Madaan, District Education Officer (Secondary Education), was the guest of honour on this occasion.

Kulveer Singh, District Sports Coordinator, thanked the guests and congratulated the participating teams, and organising committee members on the successful conclusion of the competition.
