Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain on Saturday inaugurated ninth season of the Fomerah Greens Kundan Premier League (KPL) at KVM Senior Secondary School grounds, Civil Lines.

The 10-day tournament serves as a homecoming for more than 20 alumni teams, including 12 senior and 9 junior teams. On the first day, injury-marred defending champions, Stadium Shockers, defeated KVM Bulls by 12 runs in a nail-biter.

Shockers’ Chintan Sehgal was adjudged player of the match for his unbeaten 73 off 31 balls along with two wickets.
