Hephzi Justin, a student of BBA III was named best athlete on Saturday during the 4th edition of annual sports meet of Khalsa Institute of Management and Technology (KIMT) for Women, Civil Lines.

Earlier, Harbans Singh, former in-charge, Sports Authority of India Training Centre, and former national-level weightlifter, declared the meet open by releasing balloons.

The one-day event drew enthusiastic participation from students and included various track and field competitions.

Hephzi, along with Bhumi, a student of BCA I, and Pridhi, a student of BCom Honours I, brought laurels to their alma mater in tae kwon do tournament and were felicitated during the prize distribution function.

Padma Shri awardee hockey coach Baldev Singh gave away the prizes. He stressed the importance of sports in physical fitness and overall personality development.
