Ludhiana man duped of Rs 1.5 lakh by travel agents, probe on

The police registered a case after a city man was allegedly duped of Rs 1.5 lakh by two travel agents on the pretext of sending his son to the US, said officials. The case was registered under the Immigration Act.

The complainant, Gurdayal Singh of Jamalpur, said he wanted to send his son, Dilpreet Singh, to the US and came into contact with accused Inderpreet Singh and Ajit Singh. The accused charged Rs 1.5 lakh from him but did not send his son abroad, or return the amount.
