Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Neeru Katyal Gupta on Thursday conducted inspections of road repair works across the city.

The MC has deployed modern machinery, including infrared pothole repair machines, for work on roads.

The hot mix plant of the civic body is running on full capacity to speed up the repair works and modern machinery has been deployed for ensuring efficiency, the MC chief said.

The inspections were conducted at Mall road, near BRS Nagar canal bridge and Focal Point, among other areas.

Directions were issued to the officials concerned to ensure there was no compromise in the quality of works.

Gupta said senior officials have been regularly monitoring development works across the city and issuing necessary directions to expedite them.

Along with the repairs, a significant number of road reconstruction projects are also being taken up across the city, she said, adding officials concerned have been directed to complete the projects within stipulated time period.
