Ludhiana: The PAU police have registered a kidnapping case against a man who abducted a 15-year-old girl on the pretext of marrying her. The suspect has been identified as Mohit of Partap Singh Wala. Karamvir told the police that on September 12, he and his wife had gone to work. When they returned home, they found their daughter was missing. Later, they came to know that Mohit had kidnapped their daughter. TNS

Peddler held with 7-kg ganja

Ludhiana: The CIA 2 wing of the city police have nabbed a drug peddler and recovered 7 kg of ganja from his possession. The suspect has been identified as Nazmudin Ansari of the Bahadurke road. Investigation officer ASI Major Singh said the police received a tip-off that the suspect was on the way to deliver drugs to his clients. A naka was set up at the fish market and Ansari nabbed with ganja. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against him. TNS

Ludhiana: Radha Soami Satsang of Beas will maintain and beautify the central verge on a stretch of Hambran Road. Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu shared this information here on Tuesday. He said the central verge on a stretch from Lord Mahavira Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital till Radha Soami Satsang Beas premises on Hambran Road will be maintained and beautified by the body.
