Man dies as bike hits stray cow

LUDHIANA: A motorcyclist was killed and his wife severely injured when the bike they were riding collided with a stray animal at Gidarwindi village, near Sidhwan Bet, past evening.

Ludhiana, January 16

A motorcyclist was killed and his wife severely injured when the bike they were riding collided with a stray animal at Gidarwindi village, near Sidhwan Bet, past evening. The deceased has been identified as Gagandeep Singh (33), a resident of Sherewal village in the Bet area. His wife, Surjit Kaur, has been admitted to a private hospital in Jagraon.

The accident occurred when Gagandeep and his wife were returning to their village after visiting Sidhwan Bet. When they reached near Gidarwindi village, a cow abruptly came in front of them and the bike collided with it. Villagers rushed the injured to a nearby hospital where Gagandeep succumbed to injuries. He is survived by his wife and two minor children.
