LUDHIANA: The Division No. 1 police have booked two persons on the charge of duping a man of Rs 25 lakh on the pretext of arranging a job of company director in Dubai.

The Division No. 1 police have booked two persons on the charge of duping a man of Rs 25 lakh on the pretext of arranging a job of company director in Dubai. The suspects have been identified as Naresh Sharma of Palam Vihar and his son Abhinav Sharma.

The complainant, Sunil Kumar Puri, a resident of Panchkula, Haryana, alleged that the suspects had promised to appoint him as a director of an international company in Dubai and in lieu took Rs 25 lakh from him.

He alleged he remitted the amount in the account of the company owned by the suspects in Dubai, and also visited Dubai in this regard. But the suspects failed to appoint him as a director of the company. Even the visa issued by the company was got cancelled by the suspects by making a false complaint to the labour department of Dubai, alleged Puri. — TNS
