Masses to be roped in to save Buddha Nullah, say morcha activists
Sore over the state government’s “non-serious” approach in tackling the issue of Buddha Nullah, ‘Kale Pani da Morcha’ campaign activists have now decided to reach out to masses to spread awareness to join hands and work for the cause. The activists said that their lone focus would be to spread awareness among masses that the present government was not bothered about the innocent lives of people and “so we should take the issue of Buddha Nullah in our own hands”.
Talking to Ludhiana Tribune, Jaskirat Singh, an activist of the campaign, said that on December 3 during the decision of clubbing the common effluent treatment plants (CETPs), the government authorities had assured that in the next seven days they would do the needful, but nothing of that sought happened and the industry in connivance with government authorities continued to pollute the nullah.
The morcha activists said that from January 1, 2025, to April 14, 2025, awareness would be generated among the masses to be united to save the nullah and raise voice against the government and the industries, which is responsible for polluting the nullah.
