LUDHIANA: A meeting of principal’s was held at the Blossoms Convent School to eradicate drugs from Punjab. To make this possible, road shows and rallies will be conducted to cretae awareness among people. Besides, many sensitive issues regarding children were discussed, including lack of moral education.
Colours Day celebrated
Kindergarten sections of the Green Land Convent School, Dugri, celebrated “Colours Day” amidst a lot of enthusiasm and happiness. Each classroom was decorated based on a particular colour theme. Tiny tots brought a variety of food items and rainbow hues enhanced glitz and glamour of pre-primary section. Principal Gurpreet Kaur compared childhood with colours as it is a most colourful phase of human life.
Ryan International School
Ryan International School, Dugri, celebrated Environment Week to create awareness related to the importance of green colour in the environment. Students came dressed in green attire and enjoyed taking a stroll in school garden. Teachers briefed students about colour’s importance in one’s lives as well as in the environment.
Student shines
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar, won entry to national level in ‘Inspire’ award exhibition held at the Guru Nanak Engineering College. ‘Smart Sewage Shooter’ prepared by Narendra Singh Rawat was selected for national level.
Rain party
Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, organised a ‘Musical rain festivity’ for students of Kindergarten wing. Tiny tots danced and hopped in the rain. Kids learned new vocabulary and recited rhymes with teachers. School principal Jyoti Pujara said such activities make children extrovert. — TNS
