Ludhiana, March 4

Unidentified individuals armed with a weapon have been booked for allegedly assaulting a man at Chitti Colony in Bhattian Bet village.

Complainant Sunita Rani alleged that her father-in-law and other family members were present in the house when the incident occurred. When the miscreants knocked on the main gate of the house recently, she went outside to check. They asked her to send Laddi outside. When she refused to open the gate, the suspects began knocking forcefully on it.

When her father-in-law came out, one of them assaulted him. In the meantime, his pistol fell on the spot. The suspects managed to escape when they raised the alarm. On Sunday, a case under various sections of the IPC and the Arms Act was registered.
