Ludhiana, July 23

MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi flagged off e-rickshaws to collect garbage from areas of the Ludhiana West constituency at his Maya Nagar office on Saturday. The Municipal Corporation has recently purchased the e-rickshaws for the purpose.

While talking to mediapersons, Gogi said the cleanliness situation in the city has become bad but now, sanitation workers had got the e-rickshaws and garbage would be shifted to the dumpsite in time.

The MLA said around 90 e-rickshaws had been allotted for the Ludhiana West constituency.

He also appealed to residents to contribute to the progress of the city by paying their due taxes on a timely basis as everyone’s cooperation was needed to make Ludhiana clean and green.
