Fatehgarh Sahib MP Amar Singh Boparai has given a free hand to Deputy Commissioners at Sangrur, Ludhiana and Fatehgarh Sahib to utilise the MPLAD funds from his quota according to their requirement for helping the poor and the needy families of the region during the distress caused following lockdown and curfew imposed in view of ensuing threat of corona virus spread.
The MP appealed to the residents to follow the advisories being followed by experts in the Health Department and crisis management and maintain social distancing, voluntary home quarantine and sanitisation to avoid contracting of infection.
Referring to strategic points discussed in the meeting called by the Union Health Minister Harash Vardhan in Delhi recently Dr Amar Singh Boparai urged rank and file in the administration and social activists that residents should be persuaded not to cross Lakshman Rekha of their homes and maintain social distancing and sanitisation during unavoidable breaks.
“Though the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is all out to minimise loss due to Covid-19, the further spread of the virus can be checked only by isolating ourselves from rest of the world,” said Dr Amar Singh.
