Muskan Rathi and Kamla, both students of BA III, were adjudged the best player and best athlete, respectively, as the 65th annual athletics meet concluded on Saturday at the Khalsa College for Women (KCW), Civil Lines.

Mukti Gill, director, Kamaljit Grewal, principal, faculty members and students welcome the guests.

Students displayed remarkable competitive spirit in the athletic events, including 100m, 200m, relay and obstacle races.

Principal Grewal presented the annual sports report of the college and thanked the management for its continued support. She appreciated the efforts of the Physical Education Department.

Kuldeep Chugh, District Sports Officer, stressed the importance of sports and discipline and lauded the college for nurturing talent.

The college managing committee awarded cash prizes worth Rs 2,25,000 to sportspersons and coaches.

The event concluded with a giddha performance.

Gurdeep Kaur, director administration, Punjab State Institute of Sports, and Deputy Director, Sports, was the chief guest.
