Ludhiana, February 16

If you are unable to visit a police station to report your lost articles, then you don’t need to worry now. Just download the police Saanjh app from the Google play store and register your complaint on it. You will get a copy of the missing report while sitting at home.

According to the Additional DCP (Headquarters and Security), Deepak Pareek, about 500 articles, such as driving licence, passport, Aadhaar card, voter card and ID card, are reported missing in Ludhiana every day. There is no need to visit any police station or any office for reporting missing articles. You can simply download Punjab police Saanjh app “ppsaanjh”and fill online reports about missing articles”.

Pareek said after filing the report of missing articles and going through certain steps on the app, you can download a copy of the report from the app in a specific time.

He said the police had been promoting this app so that people need not visit the police station if they had lost some important article. It will save the precious time of residents.

As per the app data, more than 50,000 people have downloaded the app. A nominal fee of Rs 5 will be charged from the applicant which is quite affordable.

During a demo, Pareek registered a couple of complaints in just five minutes. He asked the residents to download the app which could also help them in other police-related matters.

Through this app, one can also download a copy of an FIR registered in any police station across the state. Even the status of a complaint can also be checked on the app.

If anyone still wants to personally lodge his complaint, he or she can visit a police Saanjh centre where they need to provide certain information and a copy of the report will be provided to the complainant the same day.
