NRI Punjabi woman writes to PM, seeks justice in land grabbing cases

Also sent letters to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann but to no avail, says victim

An NRI from France, Joginder Kaur Sandhu (79), has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sought justice in land grabbing cases and fake cases allegedly slapped against her by the police.

She alleged that some corrupt police officials had connived with land mafia and slapped fake cases against her.

“I have sent a number of letters to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann but to no avail. Now, I have written to the Prime Minister and hope that the Centre will pass on instructions to the state government for providing help and justice to me,” she said.

The NRI said she had been fighting for justice for over decades. Now, she would not leave India till she gets justice. Goons of land mafia had assaulted her and even tried to barge into her house but she escaped. She alleged that one of her bungalows was earlier illegally possessed by the land mafia, the possession of which was reclaimed by her after a long battle.
