Officials collect food samples from outlets



Ludhiana, November 12

Today Food Safety Officers Rashu Mahajan and Tarun Bansal under the supervision of Dr Rajesh Garg DHO, Ludhiana, inspected various food business operators (FBOs).

During the inspection, an edible oil manufacturer was inspected on the basis of a complaint. About 360 litres of mustard oil was seized from him. Three samples, including one mustard oil, and two sweets, have been collected for further analysis.

Meanwhile various milk centres, mustard oil manufacturers, sweetmeat shops and grocery stores were inspected and 11 samples were collected. Of which two samples are of milk and milk products, two of mustard oil, and two of desi ghee, four sweets, one of cream gravy in Khanna. In addition, 108 litres of pure ghee were also seized. — TNS
