Ludhiana, February 19

Australian High Commissioner to India Harinder Sidhu launched a mobile app “Project Mooo” during her visit to the city. The mobile app was created for training and providing information to dairy farmers by Param Singh, who hails from Gurdaspur. He returned from Australia after completing his studies.

Speaking about the app, Sidhu said, “Param exemplifies what Australia has to offer for Indian students. Students from here can get exposure at Australian universities and come back to bring a positive change in society.”

Speaking about health, she said, “I visited farms in the district and also saw happy-seeder machines. This is a good technology to help farmers desist from stubble burning, and must be adopted by them.”

“India-Australia relationship is getting stronger as the two countries are now collaborating in a number of sectors, including agriculture,” she added.

“Through the mobile app launched today, dairy farmers get updates on dairy farming, feed and health of their cattle to increase the milk yield,” said Param Singh from Uday, the firm which created the mobile app.
