Ludhiana: ‘Parkash Utsav’ of Guru Gobind Singh was celebrated at Malwa Central College of Education for Women, Ludhiana. The celebrations started with the recital of shabad by the college students. ‘Sri Sahaj Path’ was organised on the occasion. Staff and students of the college participated enthusiastically in the decoration of Gurdwara Sahib. They also prepared langar. Students of Malwa Central College of Education for Women recited ‘Shabads’ and ‘Kirtan’ by Dr Amarjit Singh on the occasion. Dr Satwant Kaur and Dr Tripta highlighted about life and teachings of Guru Gobind Singh. Dr Naginder Kaur, Principal, Malwa Central College of Education for Women, Members of Khalsa Dewan and Principals of sister institutions also participated in the seven days celebrations.
Workshop on e-resources
Sanmati Government College of Science Education and Research (SGCSER), Jagraon organised a workshop on “How to use e-resources”. Jatinder Singh, HOD, postgraduate department of Botany, was the resource person on the occasion. Sumedha Syal, DDO, spoke about the importance of e-resources these days. Jatinder Singh discussed in detail the e-pathshala, SWAYAM, National Digital Library, virtual labs, spoken tutorials, NMEICT, free books and journals. “These platforms can prove quite helpful for students these days as they can access them while sitting at home and study”, he said.
