On the concluding day of the programme, Sukhjinder Rishi, director youth welfare, PU, stressed on the difference between the “reel” and the “real” in students’ lives.

Rishi said students today are caught up in the glare of the virtual world, which, according to him, has nothing substantial to offer. He exhorted the participants to shun the screen and face the challenges posed by the real-world with grit and wisdom. Rishi emphasised on the importance of balancing physical, mental, social and intellectual development for a well-rounded personality. He highlighted the benefits of extensive reading, especially newspapers and books, and said it has inspired him a lot and changed his perspective towards life.

“Time management is the real mantra of success. Students should jot down their tasks, prioritise and be systematic in handling them within a given time frame. Daily review of the tasks accomplished and those left undone should be carried out,” he added.

Harpratap Brar, president, Guru Nanak Managing Board, guided the participants to craft effective resumes. He also organised interactive sessions, group discussions and mock interviews to help the students explore a potential leader in them. Brar was the resource person for two days.
