Police launch search op to rescue 7-yr-old abducted child
A seven-year-old child, belonging to a peasant family of Seehan Daud, was allegedly kidnapped by two motorcycle-borne suspects when the boy was playing outside his home on the outskirts of the village.
Separate teams of the Payal and Amargarh police have launched a search operation to trace the kidnappers, who were seen on the Malerkotla-Khanna road after the incident.
Gurjant Singh, a farmer and commission agent of Seehan Daud, had informed the police control room that his grandson Bhavkirat Singh, a Class I student of a Malerkotla school, was kidnapped by two unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreants when he was playing outside his home in the evening.
Amargarh DSP Davinder Singh Sandhu said a manhunt had been launched in coordination with the Khanna district police and separate teams of police personnel were conducting intensive search along drains and link roads, besides highways.
