Ludhiana, June 3
The police conducted a flag march under the supervision of DCP (Headquarters) Akhil Chaudhary today. ADCP (Law & Order) Jaskiranjit Singh Teja also participated in the march to show the presence and solidarity of the police force for guarding city residents in the wake of ‘Ghallughara Divas’.
The flag march started from Vishwakarma Chowk and covered areas in Zone II, including Gill Chowk, Bhagwan Chowk, Quality Chowk, Shimlapuri, Daba, Sahnewal, Dehlon, Alamgir, Merado, Dugri and Phullanwal Chowk.
Drones kept surveillance during the march. Later, senior officials along with several SHOs participated in a flag march in the area of Zone IV.
DCP Akhil Chaudhary said special day and night nakas had been laid to maintain law and order in the city. Patrolling parties had been formed for the purpose, the DCP added. The police is using drone cameras to keep a watch over anti-social elements in the city.
