Apprehending that Agniveers would fall prey to sinister designs of anti-national and anti-social forces after retirement, the AAP today said it would not allow the soil of Punjab to get soaked in blood once again.

The office-bearers and activists of the party, led by Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO and Amargarh legislator Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra, alleged that the Centre had been trying to distract the public from real issues by announcing non-viable schemes like Agnipath.

“How can the youth trained in the use of weapons sit peacefully at homes on being retired after four years? Particularly in case of a border state like Punjab, these disappointed youths will fall prey to sinister designs of anti-social and anti-national forces working across the borders,” said ETO and Gajjanmajra.
