Protest over water pipe

Ludhiana, July 16

Opposing the installation of a water supply line from Ward 5 to Ward 4 on Kakowal Road, Ward 5 councillor Neelam Sharma’s husband Rakesh Sharma, along with residents, staged a brief protest on the road.

Sharma said if this line was installed, water supply to Ward 5 would be affected.

Councillor from Ward 4 Sukhdev Singh said there was water supply problem in some areas on Kakowal Road in Ward 4. “The new water supply line is needed to resolve the problem. Now, the issue has been resolved and work is underway to install the line,” he said. — TNS
