Punjab youth basketball teams given warm send-off

LUDHIANA:Nawaz Singh Panich and Harsimran Kaur have been selected to lead Punjab youth boys and girls teams in the 36th Youth National Basketball Championship scheduled to be held from May 14 to 21 at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.

Ludhiana, May 10

Nawaz Singh Panich and Harsimran Kaur have been selected to lead Punjab youth boys and girls teams in the 36th Youth National Basketball Championship scheduled to be held from May 14 to 21 at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.

The teams were given a warm send-off by the officials of the Punjab Basketball Association (PBA) here at Guru Nanak Stadium on Thursday. The players along with their coaches and managers assembled at the stadium where they posed with the PBA officials before their departure for Coimbatore.

Teja Singh Dhaliwal, honorary general secretary, PBA along with JP Singh, Balkar Singh Brar, Vijay Chopra was among others present. They wished the players and officials, accompanying the contingents good luck.
