Thieves broke into Kataria Communications in Lajpat Nagar here and decamped with Rs1 lakh in cash and eight mobile phones.

Paramjit Singh, owner of the showroom, said on Monday night, he closed his shop at 8 pm and on Tuesday morning around 5 am, one of his friends, who was out for a walk, noticed the broken locks of the shop and informed him. As per the CCTV camera footage of a nearby shop, two thieves entered the showroom around 3.15 am and after over 30 minutes, they took away cash and mobile phones. Their accomplice kept standing outside the shop. They also took away the DVR of the CCTV cameras. The police are scanning the CCTV footage to identify them.
