Rs 20 K snatched from woman

Ludhiana: A woman was targeted by bike-borne snatchers at Block D of Model Town. Joginder Kaur of Chet Singh Mohalla told the police that on Friday, she was heading towards the SBI branch to deposit cash. She was cornered by two bike-borne persons. Before she could raise the alarm, the bikers snatched her bag containing Rs 20,000 and important documents, and sped off. TNS

20-year-old girl goes missing 

Ludhiana: A 20-year-old girl studying at the Khalsa College for Women has gone missing under mysterious conditions. Her mother, Syasa, a resident of Railway Colony, told the police that on December 7, her daughter went to her college but did not return home. She suspected that somebody had kept her under wrongful confinement. TNS

Two arrested for bicycle theft

Ludhiana: The Ladowal police have nabbed two persons on the charge of stealing a bicycle. The suspects, Gurpreet Singh and Balwinder Singh, both residents of Khaira Bet, have been arrested on the basis of CCTV footage. The complainant, Bhajan Singh, told the police that as he was to attend a marriage function on Wednesday, he parked his bicycle in front of his shop. When he returned home, he found the cycle missing. The suspects were caught on a CCTV camera. TNS
