Sacred Heart, GNPS eves prove their mettle in roller skating

LUDHIANA: Participants from Sacred Heart Convent School and Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar, proved their mettle by winning maximum titles on the opening day of the 64th Ludhiana District Schools Roller Skating Championship at the Leisure Valley Skating Rink here on Friday.

Participants from Sacred Heart Convent School and Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar, proved their mettle by winning maximum titles on the opening day of the 64th Ludhiana District Schools Roller Skating Championship at the Leisure Valley Skating Rink here on Friday.

Around 150 participants (U-11, 14, 17 and 19) from 15 schools are taking part in the three-day championship, which is being organised by the District Education Department. Competition for the girls’ category was held on Friday. Vikram Bhanot, Assistant Education Officer, Ludhiana, was present.

Results

500-m quads (U-11): 1st Gurmannat Kaur, Taranjeet Kaur and Tarandeep Kaur of Guru Nanak Public School; 2nd Amit Raheja, Rayna and Sakshi of BCM Arya Model School, Shastri Nagar; and 3rd Dhanishta Verma, Rajni and Amit of Kundan Vidya Mandir.

500-metre inline: 1st Sukham Kaur Soni, Jasneet and Gurkirat of Sacred Heart Convent School; 2nd Manan Sikand, Charanjeev and Satvinder Kaur of Sacred Heart Convent School; and 3rd Anchit Kaur, Harjinder Kaur and Avtar of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, BRS Nagar.

500-metre quads (U-14): 1st Aarushi, Sanjay and Minakshi Duggal of BCM School, Shastri Nagar; 2nd Manya Garg, Gagan and Monika of Kundan Vidya Mandir; 3rd Ikreet Kaur, Savneet and Manpreet kaur of Sat Paul Mittal School.

500-metre quads (U-17): 1st Simardeep Kaur, Narinder and Mandeep Kaur of BCM Arya Model School, Shastri Nagar; 2nd Bhumika Mehta, Pavan and Shelly Mehta of BCM Arya Model School; and 3rd Harleen Kaur, Manmeet Kaur and Azad of Guru Nanak Public School.

500-metre inline (U-17): 1st Kavya Sood, Monika and Parmod of BCM School, Shastri Nagar; 2nd Jasleen Kau, Davinder and Kanwaljeet Kaur of Guru Nanak Public School; and 3rd Kiran, Daljeet and Sharda Devi of BCM School, Shastri Nagar.

500-metre inline (U-19): 1st Tehdil Kaur Pannu, Jagjeet and Jasbir Kaur of Sacred Heart Convent School; 2nd Surbhi, Naveen and Monika Garg of BCM School, Shastri Nagar; and 3rd Sant Kaur, Babinder and Naveen Kaur of Guru Nanak Public School.
