Ludhiana, October 26

The two-day Panjab University Kho Kho (men) tournament concluded at GTB National College, Dakha.

Eight teams from colleges all over Panjab University participated. The opening ceremony was presided over by college Vice President Randhir Singh Sekhon. College Principal Avtar Singh welcomed the participants, teachers and officials of the University and promised best of facilities to them. Chief Guest Randhir Singh exhorted the students to display their best performance in true sportsman spirit.

University observers Principal Dr. Mukti Gill from Khalsa College for Women, Ludhiana and Principal Dr. Balwinder Kaur from SDS college of Education, Lopon, and Deputy Director of sports Panjab Unversity, Dr Rajesh Malik also graced the occasion.

Four teams entered the quarter finals among which six matches were played. SCD Government College, Ludhiana got the gold medal, BKS College, Muhar won the silver medal and the host team clinched the bronze medal. DAV College Chandigarh stood fourth. In this tournament, Mandeep Singh (GTB National College) was chosen as best Runner, Dhruv (BKS College, Muhar) was declared the best Defender and Sham Kumar (SCD. Government College, Ludhiana) was declared all rounder.
