Maintaining their winning streak, Sethu FC overpowered Cuttack’s SAI-STC 9-0 in the 3rd Indian Women’s League played at GHG Khalsa College in Gurusar Sadhar today.

Ratanbala Devi, who struck a hat-trick, opened the scoring in the 4th minute. Five minutes later, Sandhiya increased the lead before Ratanbala found the target again. Skipper Indumathi scored the fourth goal just at the stroke of the half-time whistle.

After changing ends, Sethu FC increased their lead through Dangmei Grace before SAI-STC goalkeeper Subha Patra diverted Ratanbala’s cross into her own net for an own goal.

Nepal’s Sabitra Bhandari came on in the second half to score the seventh goal with less than 10 minutes of regulation time left on the clock.

Sandhiya scored her second in the 87th minute before Ratanbala completed her hat-trick seconds before the end of regulation time.

Manipur Police Sports Club also had it easy as they beat Baroda Football Academy 6-1 at Guru Nanak Stadium here. Manipur captain Ngangom Bala Devi scored four goals, while Irom Pramodini Devi and H Daya Devi got one each. The lone goal for the Baroda academy was scored by Mona. In another match, Bangalore United Football Club and Football Club, Kohlapur City, played out a 1-1 draw.

Bangalore Club took the lead in the 47th minute through Paromita Sit but Kohlapur’s substitute Pratiksha Mithari equalised in the 80th minute.
